This high resolution orthomosaic was created using a DJI Phantom4Pro drone flying between 100 and 120 meters above ground level (AGL) over about 2 square km.
All 1670 images were then processed with Pix4D mapper to produce a 5cm/pixel resolution orthomosaic in Avenches
The main point of this survey was to test the potential of drone surveys for finding ancient remains under shallow depth under dry vegetation
This is also followed by a 3D model of the area which can reveal micro-topographical changes caused by remains under the surface
